Compton first through the door ?

Former Portsmouth youth player Jack Compton looks set to complete his return to Pompey, after leaving the club back in 2006 for West Bromwich Albion.

The young midfielder last night tweeted “ Signing for Portsmouth #loveit 

Compton was most recently on loan at SPL side St. Johnstone however agreed a mutual termination with parent club Falkirk at the end of last season. He has spent time at Weymouth, Brighton, and Havant & Waterlooville in his career to date.

Official confirmation is yet to be released but this will indicate that Appleton may start having some flexibility in the transfer market with Tuesday’s Capital Cup fixture against Plymouth fast approaching.
