Pompey v Bournemouth : Betting Odds

By Sam Goff

Portsmouth were forced to field youngsters in their midweek loss at Plymouth on Tuesday evening but a raft of signings since has rejuvenated the atmosphere around the club.
Michael Appleton could field a whole new side from the one that went down at Home Park in order to make Portsmouth competitive in League One. Promotion hopefuls Bournemouth will look to spoil the party.

Match-Winner prices

Portsmouth are 2/1 with Paddy Power to kick off their League One campaign with a victory at Fratton Park. The lads will not be short of vocal support from the Fratton Faithful. Local bookmakers The Betting Room are laying 11/4 about a home-win.
The tie is 13/5, best available with Boylesports. The Betting Room offer 5/2 for the same outcome.
Bournemouth will make the short trip up the M27 to face a Portsmouth side in a bit of bother. The Cherries are EVS with bet365 to spoil the party. 4/6 with The Betting Room. Remember we never advise backing against Pompey!

I am 80% sure there won’t be a market for this available because of the situation Portsmouth find themselves in. Although first-team players have now been bought into the side, the bookmakers have had little or no time to price this market up for Saturday.
Liam Walker is one I’d like to keep an eye on for future matches though after a couple of impressive pre-season performances. He’s a talented lad who will do well for Portsmouth.
The Pompey Pages’ TIP OF THE WEEK: Portsmouth or Draw @ 5/6 with Paddy Power.

We Are Staying Up Special

The Betting Room are offering a South Coast Special this weekend at a decent price of 8/1.
Portsmouth to beat Bournemouth, Man City to see off Southampton and Brighton to lose at Hull.
