Pompey midfielder Jed Wallace, on-loan to Ryman Premier outfit Whitehawk, suffered his first defeat of his loan spell at the weekend as Whitehawk lost 1-0 to Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Charlie Moone struck a late 84th-minute winner for the home side as Whitehawk slumped to a defeat despite dominating the game.
Wallace told us: “We lost 1-0 but it was a completely one-sided game. I don’t know how we didn’t win!
“It was probably my best game for Whitehawk too!”
It was a disappointing result for Wallace and Whitehawk, but they bounced back on Tuesday night in the Isthmian League Cup with a 5-0 win at home against Merstham.
Wallace struck a vital hat-trick as he continued a great run of goalscoring from midfield – scoring five goals in four games!
The young midfielder told us: “Yeah I got a hat-trick, it’s also important to win on a Tuesday after losing the Saturday game.”
The Pompey youngster is likely to return to Fratton Park next month with a massive confidence boost, but probably still has four more games to grab some vital experience.
Next up for Jed: Carshalton Athletic away on Tuesday 23rd October. Kick-off at 19:45 in the league.
